Our in-depth investigation into the July 1, 2015, alleged rape of University of Alabama honors student Megan Rondini by accused rapist Terry Jackson "Sweet T" Bunn, Jr., has taken us to a thriving underworld of "date rape" drugs and sexual abuse in Tuscaloosa that targets young, unsuspecting women. Megan was one of them.
Sweet T is the son of Terry Jackson, Sr., the co-owner of Tuscaloosa-based ST Bunn Construction Company, Inc. Former Governor Robert Bentley appointed Sweet T to the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board, twice. Sweet T served as a board member until his resignation several months ago. Bentley resigned as governor in April following his guilty plea to ethics violations.
Our next series of investigative articles in Megan Rondini's rape case will answer the following key questions:
1. Was Megan Rondini the victim of an unobtrusively administered "date rape" drug on the night of her alleged rape?
2. Was Sweet T tied to the underworld of "date rape" drugs and sexual abuse in Tuscaloosa while he was serving as a public official on the Conservation Advisory Board?
3. Who is running the "date rape" drug ring in Tuscaloosa?
4. Is Tuscaloosa Sheriff Ron Abernathy protecting, in any way, the ringleaders of the "date rape" drug trade?
5. Did any of the "date rape" drug trade money find its way to the Crimson Tide Foundation?
Stay tuned. The answers to these questions will shock you.
