Three private schools were the best in the state.Birmingham-Southern College ranked 211, Samford University made the list at 255, and Spring Hill College ranked number 265.
Six public colleges also made the list. Auburn University was the best state school at number 359, followed by the University of Alabama at 369, UAH at 437, Troy University came in number 474, UAB ranked 554, and the University of South Alabama was number 586.
