My phone has been ringing off the hook since this article was published. - Donald Watkins -  — My phone has been ringing off the hook since this article was published.  My experience with representing former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy from 2003 to 2005 prepared me on what to look for in these sophisticated corporate fraud and racketeering cases.  This case is way over the heads of Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland.  Personally, I don't know of a federal prosecutor in America who has the "balls" to prosecute the Southern Company, Alabama Power Company, and/or Georgia Power Company, regardless of the extent of their participations in the racketeering enterprise.  It was clear from Thursday's earnings call that the Southern Company is going to make former Alabama Power CEO Mark Crosswhite the "ringleader" and "fall guy" in their interstate, multi-affiliate racketeering enterprise.  As the "ringleader," Crosswhite will likely get a life sentence if he is convicted.  Matrix and Joe Perkins have "dirt" on every participant in the scheme.  They are in the best position to bargain with investigators and "snitch" on higher ups.  My job is to promote transparency in this matter and to minimize the loss of shareholder value, to the extent possible.  House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan may be the best watchdog to make sure this hot, stinky mess is not swept under the rug by Merrick Garland and his cronies at DOJ in exchange for campaign assistance to Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election. - Donald Watkins
