Bentley, Mason Will Be Indicted
Whether Alabama Governor Robert Bentley is impeached or not, I have confirmed from multiple sources that he will definitely be indicted, along with his lover and partner in crime, Rebekah Caldwell Mason.
Bentley is a "lame duck" governor in every sense of the term. He has lost all of his "juice" as a governor. Nobody in state government follows Bentley's "leadership". Those who are still standing with Bentley are paid staffers or lawyers who are feeding off of his leftover campaign funds.
Outside of government, Bentley has no friends or supporters. He has abandoned all of them, and his family as well. Bentley has embarrassed and betrayed his conservative Christian supporters and former church members with his adultery and cheating.
In the end, the governor was nothing more than a "pretender to the throne" who traded executive power for sexual favors with Rebekah. As taxpayers, we paid for Bentley and Mason to carry on a torrid love affair. This affair will go down as one of the most memorable ones in history, and the saddest one I have seen.
In the twilight of his life, Bentley is about to experience the darkest hour of his life. I do not feel sorry for Bentley because his arrogance, selfishness, and greed created this personal tragedy.
In the end, good always triumphs over evil. Bentley will join a long list of history's most corrupt figures who lost everything in the undisclosed quest to serve themselves at the expense of the public.
