Donald V Watkins: Our sources: Governor Bentley is considering Cooper Shattuck or David Byrne to replace Luther Strange.

Gov Bentley Picks Luther Strange for Jeff Sessions' Senate Seat - Donald V. Watkins

The Bentley-Strange deal proves that a governor can buy his way out of a criminal investigation under the right circumstances as long as he is dealing with an attorney general/political prostitute who is high on an ecstasy concoction of greed and self-interest.

If you think this deal is bad, just wait until Bentley names the new Alabama attorney general. Our sources report that Governor Bentley is considering Cooper Shattuck or David Byrne to replace Luther Strange. Both men are loyal to Bentley.

Shattuck, who is Bentley's former legal adviser, took care of Rebekah Mason with "dark money" payments from the Bentley slush fund called the "Alabama Council for Excellent Government", which Shattuck chaired. He also served as the general council at the University of Alabama until he was forced out last December because of his controversial role in the Bentley-Mason "sex for power" scandal.

David Byrne is best known for presiding over the collapse of Colonial Bank in 2009 as the Bank's general counsel and senior executive vice president. The bank's collapse cost the FDIC and shareholders billions of dollars. This singular achievement qualified Byrne to serve as Bentley chief legal adviser, a position he holds today.

Both Shattuck and Byrne would be expected to officially close the state's criminal investigation of Bentley and Mason for public corruption. Neither man would run for re-election. They are widely viewed as special-purpose Bentley flunkies.

Robert Bentley Picks Luther Strange for Jeff Sessions' Senate Seat
(Updated at 9:00 CST)
We told you so! Our news team first reported this political sellout deal on February 3, 2017, in the exclusive story published on this Facebook page at:https://www.facebook.com/donald.v.watkins/posts/10211871277959515

The political "fix" of Governor Robert Bentley's criminal case occurred when Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange showed up to be interviewed for the gubernatorial appointment to Jeff Sessions' senate seat. "Big Luther" Strange agreed to halt the criminal investigation in exchange for the senatorial appointment. Remember, "Birds of a feather flock together".

Right now, both men are Alabama's two top crooks holding public office. Both men used their official positions for personal gain. And, both men sold out the public's interest in honest government services for self-interests.

Who will enforce anti-public corruption laws for the top crooks in Alabama? Apparently, no one. Bentley and Strange are modern-day "untouchables".

Meanwhile, we extend our congratulations to Robert Bentley and his married girlfriend Rebekah Mason. They apparently know all of the political whores in Alabama and also know their price for whoring. These lovebirds executed a brilliant, but illegal, power-player move.

Donald V Watkins: We are told that Luther Strange is giddy today. He is about to get his dream job -- a U.S.Senate seat -- courtesy of Robert Bentley, the "target" of a state criminal investigation.

The Curious Case of ‘Big Luther’ Strange - The Daily Beast - Patricia Murphy - Bentley insists he has done nothing wrong, but choosing Strange to succeed Sessions would have a considerable perk—the chance to both send Strange away to Washington and to pick Strange’s replacement as Attorney General. In essence, Bentley would get to choose his own prosecutor, pick his own poison.
