Dearest Teddy (My 15 year old Maltipoo who passed away at 1AM Sunday May 10, 2026) I want you to know I am heartbroken and my spirit is crushed since your sudden attack/possible stroke late Saturday nite about 10PM.- Please forgive me Teddy for not catching you as you fell off your bed. I'm not sure if catching you would have saved you or if the damage was already done. I will never know. I will always remember holding your limp body against my chest as you were still warm and breathing for several hours. As I cried out/shouting your name. Praying/ Begging for a miracle. It crushed me to know there was nothing I could do to save you. And I’m so sorry we don’t have an ER for pets on weekends and after hours like we do for people. We definitely should have one. Teddy, I can honestly say that’s the first time in 15 years you ever made me sad. CoCo your sister (from the same litter) has been looking for you. We both look at your little bed/pillows right beside my chair and we can’t believe you’re no longer here. We both miss you so very much. The first time I ever saw you at the breeders in the same area with CoCo, you were jumping straight up and down. And such a happy dog. I’m so glad I chose you to be my dog. Our friend Julie said - Teddy was a SWEETHEART. No Doubt. A perfect word to describe you Teddy. You will always be a SWEETHEART. And my LOYAL best friend. I never knew a small dog like you could be such a BIG deal/impact in my life. My best friend always by my side for 15 years. Teddy, You brought me so much joy and happiness. I will never forget the many times you and CoCo and I took a ride together. Most times up and around the church several times. And especially our rides to Texas and back a few times. You were/are a gamer Teddy. I will always remember when you heard thunder you would immediately get right up against me. I’m hearing a lot of thunder right now - since you are gone. Your sudden death has gutted me Teddy .. somewhat like my mother’s sudden death. Thanks so much Teddy for coming into my life and being my best friend for 15 years. CoCo and I miss you so much. We could never replace you. We will always cherish the many many sweetheart memories you brought us. You’re the Best Teddy. You were So Kind. So Laidback. So Smart. A Real Sweetheart. A Constant Blessing In My Life. I will always Cherish the Wonderful Memories with you. You will Always be My Wonderful Dog and My Best Friend Teddy. — Much Love Meck

I am very sad to hear the news today of Bobby Cox passing away. -- Bobby Cox was a great man and manager. And a great friend to me when I covered the Braves - Radio and TV Show. He was so kind and encouraging. I told him several times -- "If I ever go to the electric chair .. I want to have my last meal with you." At least I would be smiling. Bobby Cox was the Ultimate Encourager. We talked/visited many times -- Usually about 3 o'clock in his dugout office or the dugout before a 7 o'clock game. He was a guest on our radio show - The Coach and The Meck (Bobby Cox and Coach Oppert were teammates on the Panama City Fliers Minor League team). Plus Bobby was one of our first guests on my TV Show with Denny Neagle in Atlanta. He even did a podcast with me. He always had TIME for me. He was a blessing to me and so many. I wanted to go see him in the last few years but they limited his visitors due to his health and the covid virus. -- Bobby Cox had The Gift of Greatness -- The ability to make those around him feel great. Thanks Skipper .. You made a huge impact on my life and I'm so grateful -- Meck. I have many Bobby Cox stories and memories .. I will be posting some of these soon. - #BobbyCox #Braves
