Radio Ink Magazine - The Buildup and Hype End. Huckabee Goes Live At Noon - Huckabee tells Radio Ink he's been taking all the hype about his show in stride. "The main thing I have been doing is a lot of prayer, a lot of crying, wetting the bed at night. One of the things that is helpful for me is I am already doing, or course, the commentaries on FOX News. Everyday, I am absorbing vast amounts of material on current events. I would probably be doing it anyway, just because that's where my interests have been for the last 30 years. -- I think that's one thing that I will bring to talk radio that is a little different, having been one of the actual people on the arena floor, not just an observer. I want then to have fun. I want them to not slam the door of their car when they get out of it walking into their office building."

Masters Champion Bubba Watson: Golf's Next Marketing Star - Forbes - Watson has several things going for him. He was born Gerry Lester Watson, but has a catchy moniker in Bubba (think Tiger, Kobe, LeBron). Fans love the long ball and no one hits it longer than Watson. He leads the PGA Tour in average driving distance at 313 yards this year, 18 yards longer than Woods. He has a great back story as a self-taught golfer who never had a lesson, giving hackers around the country hope. - “We wanted someone who was up-and-coming and really stood out,” says Paul Nicholson, a Director of Marketing for Motorola Mobility. Watson’s personality was also a big selling point. “He is his own man and has a very different way of thinking which is very true to our product,” says Nicholson.

Solomon: 'Bubba from Bagdad' now a major golf name - Houston Chronicle - He is self-taught. Self-motivated. And not afraid of self. The guy has a pink driver, for goodness sakes. The next golf lesson he takes will be his first. His game might be reckless, but at least it is his game. He goes down swinging. Or, on a day like this, when he bags his first major victory, he stands tall swinging away. As his name suggests, Watson is more than a little bit country. He calls himself Bubba from Bagdad, a tiny town of some 1,500 people in the far northwest corner of the Florida Panhandle. The Deep South. He attended the University of Georgia. He made a six-figure purchase of a General Lee, the Confederate Flag-bearing muscle car from the TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard." He's also a little bit rock and roll. That's him, barefoot and shirtless in blue-jean overalls, swaying a little off beat and rapping a little off key with Rickie Fowler, Ben Crane and Hunter Mahan in the video for the single "Oh Oh Oh," a release by the PGA Tour's first and only boy band, the Golf Boys.

Gerry 'Bubba' Watson Jr. Wins Masters - ABC News - Nils Kongshaung - Gerry "Bubba" Watson, Jr. never had a formal golf lesson. He didn't refine his swing with a swing coach. And on the second playoff hole at the Masters Tournament Sunday afternoon, he was so deep in the woods he couldn't see the green. But this natural-born golfer managed a hook shot that sent the ball shooting from its bed of pine needles, arching 40 yards through the trees to the green and landing just 10 yards from the hole.

What Would Jesus Do at the Masters? - NYTimes.com - Maureen Dowd - THERE was a boys’ club, of course, a band of ardent, jockeying disciples. But as his fame grew, the messiah was also surrounded by women and talked about women with great respect. With his father far away, the golden boy was most influenced by his strong mother and the women in his inner circle.
