Alabama's auto assembly lines go dark for BCS National Championship Game | al.com - Dawn Kent - Following a year marked by record production, rising sales, new jobs and expansion projects, it seemed nothing could stop Alabama's busy auto industry. Nothing, that is, except Alabama football. - Tonight, the three auto assembly plants operated by Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Hyundai in this state have gone dark, allowing employees time off to watch the Crimson Tide face Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship Game.
