Texas highway could become the first U.S. road to have 85mph speed limit | Mail Online - A 41-mile stretch of highway under construction in Texas could be the first U.S. road to have an 85 mile per hour speed limit, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Texas State Highway 130 will run between between Austin and Seguin, a town just east of San Antonio, with the aim of taking traffic loads off of Interstate 35.

In the end, the highest bid was a record-breaking $3,456,789. The auction benefits the Glide Foundation, which helps the homeless in San Francisco. Buffett has raised more than $11.5 million for the group in 13 past auctions. The event provides a significant portion of Glide's roughly $17 million annual budget that pays for social services to the poor and homeless.
