I am very sad to hear the news today of Bobby Cox passing away. -- Bobby Cox was a great man and manager. And a great friend to me when I covered the Braves - Radio and TV Show. He was so kind and encouraging. I told him several times -- "If I ever go to the electric chair .. I want to have my last meal with you." At least I would be smiling. Bobby Cox was the Ultimate Encourager. We talked/visited many times -- Usually about 3 o'clock in his dugout office or the dugout before a 7 o'clock game. He was a guest on our radio show The Coach and The Meck plus My TV Show with Denny Neagle in Atlanta. He even did a podcast with me. He always had TIME for me. He was a blessing to me and so many. I wanted to go see him in the last few years but they limited his visitors due to his health and the covid virus. -- Bobby Cox had The Gift of Greatness -- The ability to make those around him feel great. Thanks Skipper .. You made a huge impact on my life and I'm so grateful -- Meck. I have many Bobby Cox stories and memories .. I will be posting some of these soon.
