Fan drove five hours to see the Yankees play the Braves and winds up catching milestone - NY Daily News - Mark Feinsand - When Randy Kearns made the five-hour drive from Asheboro, N.C., to Turner Field for his first Yankees game, he had no idea his night at the ballpark would end with a trip to the Bombers’ clubhouse. - The 15-year-old earned the trip Tuesday night by catching Alex Rodriguez’s 23rd career grand slam, which tied A-Rod with Lou Gehrig for the most slams in baseball history. - Kearns had no idea that he had just caught history, but Eddie Fastook, the Yankees’ executive director of team security, located the lucky fan to see if he would return the ball to A-Rod in exchange for a meeting and some memorabilia.

Just rhythmic smacking and slapping noises, silent screams, gutted psyches.
