New York Mets will wear patch to honor Gary Carter - ESPN New York - Strawberry and Ojeda Reflect On The Kid -- Mets principal owner Fred Wilpon presented Sandy Carter, the Hall of Fame catcher's widow, with the patch after a memorial service Friday night at Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. In addition to Carter's No. 8, the patch also includes a home plate.
