Mario Nawfal on X: STARLINK DROPPING SATELLITES LOWER IN 2026 TO KEEP ORBIT A BIT CLEANER AND SAFER SpaceX just announced a big tweak to the Starlink constellation, they’re lowering around 4,400 satellites from about 550 km, around 340 miles, down to roughly 480 km, about 300 miles, over the course of 2026. Michael Nicolls, VP of Starlink engineering, explained it's for safety: lower orbits have far less junk and planned sats, slashing collision risks as space gets crowded. - MORE
