Dothan City Schools Chairman Mike Schmitz Comments on Restructuring Vote for DCS - Nov 26, 2018

Nov 26, 2018 - 6pm

The vote for change and a brand new direction for Dothan City Schools has passed. It's time to move forward.
As a board member, I believe we represent all 9,000 plus students and what's best for them.

Whether you agree or disagree with the decision, it's time now for us to come together and support Dr. Edwards and her plans for a better Dothan City Schools.
If her plans succeed - we all win and so does Dothan. If she fails, we all lose.

Let's come together and work together and unify our schools and our city. We can do it.
We can make this work. Let's encourage one another and get on the same team - the same page.

This is all about the 9,000 plus students in Dothan City Schools and giving them all - every student an equal opportunity to be successful.
Success is what you become in the light of what God designed you to be. I really believe we will be successful.

Thanks to the board for your hard work - and patience. And thanks to Dr. Edwards for your hard work, incredible leadership and much needed vision for our Dothan City Schools.
We can do this. And we will. Let's Go Go Go team!

Mike Schmitz - Dothan City Schools Chairman
