May 5, 2014: Lawsuit filed in Flowers Hospital identity theft - Dothan Eagle - Jim Cook - excerpt: The suit says Flowers willfully and negligently violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by failing to take proper steps to safeguard patient information. The suit says patients’ could be at risk for identity theft and fraud for years as a result of this failure. The suit also alleges Flowers invaded the plaintiffs’ privacy by failing to secure patient information.
