Scarbinsky: Gene Chizik won't be able to dodge his fate at Auburn much longer | al.com - Back in the real world, it's expected that Auburn will announce any day now that Chizik will be replaced and that some type of search committee - including embattled athletics director Jay Jacobs - will be looking for his replacement. - According to the Auburn source, it appears that the behind-the-scenes lobbying campaign to keep Jacobs, led by former Auburn trustee Earlon McWhorter, is going to succeed, at least in the short term. There's still the unresolved issue of the current NCAA investigation into the football program.
