NCAA can't resolve the problem with sanctions | The Daily News Journal | - Bob Gilbert -- NCAA president Mark Emmert totally missed the point by punishing the act rather than penalizing those who embraced – in fact, helped create – the culture that turned its back on Jerry Sandusky’s unspeakable crimes. The real problem is the fans’ unrealistic expectation of winning every Saturday and their willingness to endorse whatever behavior they feel is necessary to achieve those victories.
