FSU Big 12 fascination is about $EC envy – Open Mike – Orlando Sentinel - Make no mistake about why so many FSU fans, boosters, coaches and trustees want to explore the possibility of leaving the ACC for the Big 12. It is all about trying to keep up financially with the big boys in SEC. Nothing more. Nothing less. “Conference alignment and TV is where all the money’s at,” FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said before a speaking engagement Saturday at the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando. “The powers-that-be need to do what’s best for Florida State.”
