Gary Carter is a gem - Rob Vanstone - The Leader-Post -- His own affection for the game is evidenced by the manner in which he treats its enthusiasts. He has always made it better by being friendly and accessible. In Carter's heyday, an autograph could be obtained for the cost of postage, two envelopes (one of which was self-addressed and stamped) and a piece of paper.
