Justice Department set to challenge Alabama immigration law | The State Column - The U.S. Department of Justice sent a letter to local law enforcement agencies in Alabama Wednesday warning them that they risk losing federal funding if they are not careful in enforcing Alabama’s new immigration law. The letter was sent to 156 agencies in Alabama, notifying them that the federal government will monitor how they enforce the new law.
