Mayor Schmitz Announced on The Meck Show Tonight: Members of Asian Manufacturing Delegation will visit Dothan Thursday and Friday - Press Conf 10am Friday


Mayor Mike Schmitz and Dothan, Ala Will Host The Asian Manufacturing Association Annual Meeting - The First Ever Held in The United States.

It was announced this afternoon in Washington D.C. that Dothan, Ala will be the host city for the first ever Asian Manufacturing Association annual meeting in the United States. Dothan beat out New York City, Washington D.C. and Charlotte N.C. to land/host this historic international meeting November 10-12, 2013. Between 300-400 manufacturing company CEO's from across China/Asia will be in Dothan plus many others from around the world.

Approx 800 people will be attending this International Conf in Dothan, Al - Including Francisco Sanchez - Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade for the United States.
Mr. Sanchez does the U.S. trade agreements with Hong Kong and China. Mayor Schmitz met him and had a great visit with him in Hong Kong last month.

The speakers at this international conference will be from all over the world.
Those attending the Asian Manufacturing Association meeting in Dothan will arrive the morning of Nov 10th and depart on the 13th.

Thanks to Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz for knocking on doors and building relationships with the Chinese in the last year plus his 2 week trip last month to Seoul Korea, Hong Kong and across China.
