Tigers, Verlander agree to record extension - USATODAY - The Detroit Tigers and starting pitcher Justin Verlander reached an agreement on a $140 million contract extension that will keep Verlander in Detroit through at least 2019, according to ESPN's Buster Olney on Twitter.
