Mercedes-Benz plans another expansion at its Alabama auto plant | al.com - Dawn Kent - Mercedes-Benz plans to build a parts consolidation center at its Tuscaloosa County auto assembly plant, a $70 million investment, project documents show. The warehouse will have 500 jobs.

It was a privilege to have my friend Phil Paramore on my radio show Tuesday night.
He talked about his family, growing up in Ariton Al and the Purple Cats.
Phil and The Meck talked about hosting our own radio shows - over 23 years for Phil.
Plus my Dad, Dick Meckley, his radio career and Phil's visit with my Dad at the TPC Sawgrass.
We talked about Paul Finebaum and his gracious visit to Dothan in August. We also talked about Mayor Schmitz - his leadership and cars.
Phil shared from his heart and soul about his life and talked about how he almost died 16 months ago. Phil made some life-saving decisions and changes. He is doing so much better and making a great comeback.
He blessed so many lives when he shared his emotional story live on the air. It took a lot of courage, honesty and humility for Phil to share like he did.
I said to Phil - If just one person's life was changed after hearing his story .. Then this is probably the best show he's ever done and I've ever done on the radio.
His story is real and will touch you and inspire you.
