The emotional reunion came after FBI agents stormed the Alabama bunker in which the child had been held, leaving his survivalist captor dead. - Ethan, the child at the heart of the Alabama kidnapping crisis, spent his first evening of freedom playing, eating, laughing and joking around with his favorite toy dinosaur. - The ordeal came to a dramatic conclusion as FBI agents believed the little boy to be in 'imminent danger' and breeched survivalist Jimmy Lee Dykes's bunker.

A Dale County School Should Be Named After Mr. Charles Poland.
While visiting with Rep. Clouse tonite on my radio show, I suggested it would be a fitting gesture
to name an elementary school/or school in Dale County after Mr. Charles Poland. The man who gave his life last Tuesday so 21 precious children on his bus could live.
I hope Rep Clouse and School Supt Donny Bynum will consider this thought and do their best to make it happen. I believe they will.
Mr. Poland Deserves to have his name on a Dale County School.
After all .. His name is on everyone of those 21 children who rode his bus.
It would be a Wonderful Tribute for a Wonderful Man with a Wonderful Legacy -

They had also built a mock-up of the bunker nearby, where the authorities could test various options while devising a rescue plan. - On Monday afternoon, sensing that Mr. Dykes was becoming rattled and that the threat to the boy was growing, the authorities dropped two devices into the bunker that created loud explosions, heard by people across a highway. The explosions disoriented Mr. Dykes, and immediately afterward two or three members of the F.B.I. Hostage Rescue Team went into the bunker and retrieved the child. Mr. Dykes was killed.
