Mercedes to unveil new GL-Class SUV at Alabama plant | Dawn Kent - Birmingham News -- Mercedes-Benz will formally kick off production of the redesigned 2013 GL-Class at its Alabama factory next week. - The "Job 1" celebration, which marks completion of the first customer-ready edition of the updated luxury full-size SUV, will be held June 28. Executives from Mercedes' home base in Germany are expected to attend the event at the Tuscaloosa County plant.

Tropical Storm Debby is nearly stationary in the central Gulf | NOLA.com - A slow northward motion is forecast to begin by Sunday afternoon followed by a gradual westward turn Sunday night or Monday morning. On the forecast track, the center of Debby will be moving over the northern Gulf of Mexico during the next few days. - Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph with higher gusts. These winds are occurring well east of the center of circulation. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours and Debby could be near hurricane strength by Monday night.
