Braves honor Bream, Cabrera on “Sid Slid” Bobblehead Day | AJC Braves - Former Braves catcher Javy Lopez said recently in his book “Behind the Plate” that Cabrera had told Lopez in the bullpen that night he was going to win the game. He’d had only 11 at-bats for the Braves all year. “I said, ‘I’ve got to do something so people know me,’ and it happened,” Cabrera said Saturday. “I said, ‘Watch me. They’re going to pinch hit me and I’m going to get a hit, and we’re going to win this thing.’”
