Today, Jim Parkman, the attorney for Slocomb Senator Harri Anne Smith, listened to all of the tapes in the bingo trial. Parkman says it's not there.
"I did hear all the rumors they just said. People even say I have a great source that has heard the tapes. There is no tapes I'm aware of. Never has been. I'd like for them to be. I'm an Alabama fan," Parkman said.
Also today, USA columnist Danny Sheridan refused to reveal the name of the person he says the NCAA is investigating as the one who paid Newton to attend Auburn.  Sheridan was on the Paul Finebaum Radio Network. Sheridan says he feared being sued and being forced to reveal all of his sources.

Ernie Johnson Jr.'s eulogy from funeral for his father | Atlanta Braves - ajc.com - Carroll Rogers

Ernie Johnson Jr. spoke in honor of his father, legendary Braves broadcaster Ernie Johnson Sr., at his funeral service Tuesday morning at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandy Springs, drawing both laughter and tears. He began by citing Bible verses from Galatians and 2 Timothy and said "I have no doubts where the right-hander is today…And I'm sure he's heard the words 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'"  Here are excerpts from his touching eulogy.
