Donald V. Watkins - In fairness to John Archibald, even though he defamed me and needlessly hurt the white and biracial members of the Watkins family, John Archibald is NOT a racist. He is a misguided man who wrote a false statement of fact and attributed it to me without fact-checking this statement before it was published. Rather than standing up like a man and admitting his mistake, John Archibald has chosen to join all of the other cold-hearted people in Alabama's history who (a) falsely accused innocent men and women of something they did not do and (b) did so without any regard for the consequences of their false accusations. The hurt John Archibald has inflicted upon me and the innocent members of my family means absolutely nothing to him. This is why John Archibald can never be my friend again. When people show you who they really are, via their words and deeds, believe them.
