Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz received a phone call from Lloyd Blankfein, CEO/Chairman of Goldman Sachs, inviting him to an economic meeting in New York City on Thursday Feb 12, 2015.
Attending the economic meeting with Mr. Blankfein will be U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker plus a select few Mayors and Governors who got this unique, special invitation.
Mayor Schmitz will be attending the all day meeting/forum -- Discussion will be regarding what Mayors and Governors are doing to recruit international investments and creating jobs.
Goldman Sachs is recognized as one of the largest investment banks in the world. Mr. Blankfein has been the CEO/Chairman since 2006.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker is responsible for all trade relationships/deals involving the U.S. worldwide.
She became Sec of Commerce in 2013.
