NFL reaches concussion settlement - USATODAY - The NFL and more than 4,500 former players want to resolve concussion-related lawsuits with a $765 million settlement that would fund medical exams, concussion-related compensation and medical research, a federal judge said Thursday.

Are there fast-food strikes in your city? - USATODAY - Today, fast-food workers in at least 58 cities are staging walkouts to demand higher pay in a series of industry protests that have rippled across the USA since last fall. The picketing is expected to ramp up around McDonald's, Burger King and KFC chains across the nation, during peak lunch hours, as workers and their supporters call for $15-an hour-pay and the right to form a union without fear of retaliation.
